To enable the Citizens to get basic details of all the 450+ Polytechnic Colleges and 450+ Engineering Colleges and to enable the Diploma Students studying in these Polytechnic Colleges to know the Attendance details for the current Academic Year, this web application was designed and hosted with the data provided by the DoTE.

This portal has 3 different sections for the Citizen, for the Polytechnic Colleges and for the Student of Polytechnic Colleges.

A. Polytechnic Colleges Corner :  

Following Intranet Applications have been designed and implemented by the Tamil Nadu State Centre of National Informatics Centre to monitor the Polytechnic Colleges.

i) Institution Profile:

This Intranet application is designed to collect the essential details of about 390 Polytechnic Colleges functioning all over the State under the administrative control of DoTE, Chennai, These details are to be updated by the respective Institution at regular intervals. Details on infrastructure facilities, contact details, student strength, staff strength etc. are collected.

ii) Staff Profile:

This Intranet application is designed to collect the essential details of about 16,000 Teaching Staff of the DoTE working in various Polytechnic Institutions all over the State. Details like Qualification, Service, Teaching Experience etc. are collected through this software. These details are to be updated by the respective Institution at regular intervals.   Compiled data will be used to allot Examination related duties like Hall Superintendent, Invigilator, Chief Invigilator etc. to the suitable Staff based on the experience, qualification etc.
