SIPCOT ( Small Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu ) was established in 1971 and has been acting as catalyst in the development of Medium and Large Scale Industries in Tamil Nadu. Working in line with the State Government’s Progressive Industrial policies, SIPCOT helps faster industrial development in backward and underdeveloped areas. SIPCOT as totally committed to assist the entrepreneurs provides institutional finance with refinance assistance from Industrial Development Bank of India and Small Industries Development Bank of India for meeting fixed capital investment in Industries. It also provides financial services like, Lease Finance Scheme for Capital Goods, Term Loan assistance for Industrial projects. SIPCOT is also involved in formation and managing of Industrial complexes/Parks and allotment of developed plots for location of industries

Areas Covered for Computerisation
At Head Office level, the following activities are taken up for computerization:-
• System for monitoring Incentive Schemes
• Financial Accounting System
• Term Loan Accounting System
• Payroll and EPF accounting System
• Area Development Monitoring System
• Attendance Monitoring System
At Project Office/Complex Office level, the following activities are taken up for computerization:
• Pay roll and PF Accounting System
• Financial Accounting System including Water Charges, Maintenance Charges etc.
• Under Windows 2000 / MS Access / SQL 7.0 / Visual Basic
Financial Accounting System
Financial Accounting System is loaded in all the systems of accounts department in LAN. Vouchers can be prepared by the user directly in the system instead of writing in the slip. Approving officers like GM can see the voucher details in their desktop and can approve immediately. Separate modules are provided in the system for entering bank and cash details. Once the voucher is approved the accounts officer for Bank & Cash can send them for payment.
